Don't Take a Shortcut in Leadership!

Recently, I have noticed many leaders putting their head in the sand and worrying about themselves and ignoring the turmoil around them. So today pull your head out of the sand, dig in your heels and take charge of your destiny. Life is short and you have a small window of time to make a difference in people's lives - are you making that difference? Here are a few tips to jump start your new path to engaged leadership: 1. Sit down with each of your team members and ask them what they need from you and then share candidly what you need from them 2 Set up your expectations in writing and share with your staff -- actions needed, deadlines and goals 3. Inspect what you expect every day Remember you are responsible for the results of each team member. Not just yourself!
